How can I safely whiten my teeth?
Teeth whitening is best administered under the supervision of a dentist. To get your teeth their whitest and brightest, we offer the KoR Whitening Deep Bleaching System, as well as take-home dental bleaching. Both methods deliver safe, consistent, and dramatic results. The dentist will evaluate the stains on your teeth and discuss your expectations to determine the best method for you. Call today to schedule your teeth whitening appointment.

What precautions do you take to ensure patient safety?
In our York office, your safety is our highest priority. Throughout the day, we perform a number of sterilization procedures for your protection, including:

Covering and/or disinfecting all treatment surfaces (countertops, chair surfaces, lights, X-ray machines, and trays) with the most effective and safest products available both before and after each patient appointment.

Following standard sterilization procedures with all instruments, including the use of an ultrasonic cleaner before sterilization in an autoclave. The autoclave runs for 20 minutes and reaches a temperature of 425 degrees, which destroys bacteria, spores, and viruses.

We’re happy to answer any questions you may have regarding infection control and give you a tour of our sterilization area. Your safety is of the utmost importance to us!

My gums bleed after I brush. Is this something to be concerned about?
Bleeding gums may be caused by a toothbrush with hard bristles, damaging pressure while brushing teeth, or by gum disease. If you experience bleeding when you brush, or gum tenderness, redness, or swelling, we want to see you immediately. Gum disease often goes undetected in the early stages, when conservative treatment can alleviate the condition. If gum disease escalates, gum, bone, and tooth loss may occur, as well as overall health complications. Call today to schedule a periodontal assessment.

What are mini dental implants?
