About J. S. Johnessee, DDS, PC
Dr. Johnessee is a true hometown boy. He graduated from York Suburban High School and then attended Gettysburg College for his undergraduate degree. After receiving his DDS from Temple University School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, he served in the US Navy for two years before returning home to York.
The dentist has practiced general dentistry since 1970. He opened our Wyntre Brooke practice in 1995. Dr. Johnessee’s areas of expertise include family dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and implant dentistry. The time he devotes to continuing education and professional development of our staff reflects his commitment to excellence in patient care.

When not at the office, Dr. Johnessee enjoys golf, photography, woodcarving, home renovations, and time with his family. He lives in Dallastown with his wife, Barbara. They have three talented children, Christopher, Jennifer, and Tara, and several grandchildren.
